Fall in St. Louis

We are having the best time ever in our backyard! Now it's work to have fun and the 8 month pregnant mommy feels it- but Jacob is having a ball!

Our leaves are way better than any playground equiptment- plus we have dirt mounds so who could ask for more?

This is a series featuring our very own Jacob- who will soon learn to share the spotlight of the camera! BUT for now he's on stage and loving the LEAVES!

He decided that the big cardboard roll was a "blower" and he's blowing leaves. He goes around the yard making the noise "MMMMmmmm" waving it all over. Then we have leaf diving as you'll see, leaf lounging, and we are also featuring new PJs, and pretending to feed doggie raisins.
Now, not everyone would be interested in all this- but I am hoping the far away grandparents will enjoy a glimpse of their little toddler in STL.

By the way- we smile at his newest expression when he tries something he likes....
He's learned to peel half of his banana and eat it, he nods, Yea! I lub it- it's awesome! ( the truest emotional sincerity!)

love yall,
elizabeth, john, jacob, and #2

pictures and march updates

Hi friends!

I am learning again- how to blog! Recent update for March: John and I have enjoyed family visits this month. Just last weekend we had Karen, John's mom come and see us ( and Jacob! and Paul!). We loved having her here. It is such fun to have other people be as excited as we are about Jacob's newest words and ability to.... almost run! He's not there yet, but he is power walking.
He says "A-me" (amen), "Hallo" (hello), " Ah -du" (all-done), and of course, "I Know" (I know!)- oh yes, he also says his uncle's name! "Paul" . After Easter we will have more family time with Ed and Peg and Emily and her husband Wade. ( newly married for almost 8 months!)

Learning the Ropes of Blog

Since Microsoft somehow deleted our previous blog we have been forced to migrate to the blogging capital on blogger.com. However, now that Jacob is in bed and as we sit in our living room watching American Idol (Elizabeth's 'show' of choice) we are realizing this means we have to re-do all our previous updates, pictures, and interesting things. Ahhhh Microsoft. Bill Gates must have needed extra hard drive space that we were occupying. Stay tuned and more incredible content, pics, and great stories from the middle of the country.

Watching the idol,
